Doctors Without Borders

For the fourth year in a row, Hyper has made the Christmas campaign for Doctors Without Borders. This year we developed the campaign for Facebook, we made an application which enabled you to send a symbolic Christmas gift to your friends. The goal with this campaign was to make donors involve their network of friends by actively giving presents to them, while at the same time showing their support to Doctors Without Borders.

"Hyper has been saving lives for the past few years. Thanks to the app Hyper made together with us, we have made it possible for people to give meaningful and christmas gifts. It's technically well made, spot on design, and in the end - life-saving." Jørgen W. Frydnes, project manager at Médecins Sans Frontières Norway

About the 2010 campaign

The Facebook application splits the amount you want to donate between the number of friends you’d like to send a gift to. The amount distributed to each friend is automatically translated to what it can contribute with. In that way you can right away see a tangible representation of how your donation can help the work of Doctors Without Borders.

The recipient of the gift will get a wall post about how this gift makes a difference to those who receive medical assistance. In example "You’ve just received a gift from Martin which can treat 8 children for malaria." We also made a campaign site on Doctors Without Borders’ website so that people not on Facebook could also give their support, as well giving companies the opportunity to buy corporate gifts.
